Camp Lejeune Marine relieved of responsibility just after Afghan social media article

Lt. Col Stuart Scheller of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune was relieved of his duties last Friday after posting a Facebook video demanding accountability from senior military leaders, questioning the handling of Afghanistan evacuations.

A North Carolina Maritime is talking out against senior army and civilian leaders after the latest fallout in Afghanistan and an assault that took around a dozen support members’ life. 

Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller posted a video to Fb previous Thursday, “demanding accountability, integrity, and honesty from senior leaders in the Marine Corps” soon after 13 U.S. support users had been killed in Thursday’s suicide bombing in the Afghan money of Kabul. 

A veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, Scheller was assigned in June to the College of Infantry East, Sophisticated Infantry Schooling Battalion, as the commanding business office aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC, according to his bio. 

Scheller’s video arrives in the wake of social media outrage from civilians and alleged service members, questioning the method of processes that took place to evacuate U.S. staff from the location.
