Get Him to Love You and Get Him to Commit to You and Only You

The Look

Yes it’s true that guys are initially attracted to the way a woman looks, but it does not mean that a woman or girl needs to look in a certain way only.  In fact, men are attracted to a plethora of different traits and not just what you may be telling yourself.  It is so sad when women think that only a specific look, shape or size will attract men.  It is not the case.  As long as you look healthy and relatively fit (I did not say skinny, I just said relatively fit, which is a really broad span of sizes), men will find you attractive provided you know you are and you carry yourself as if you had known all along.

So, find out what’s really good about your look, your unique trait, your unique features, and make the most of them, highlight them with your chosen look.  Your eyes, your smile, your skin, your lips, your arms, your legs, your waste and so on, whatever it is, highlight it and be proud of it.  Soon enough men will notice it too!  Do not compare yourself to others but focus on your uniqueness.  This is the only golden rule to follow.

The Voice

Whilst you must always avoid sounding or looking like his fan (if you do he’ll get bored of you), you must show interest to what he wants to tell you about himself and, of course, you must listen to it all with attentive … Continue Reading ...

Unique Flower Choices for Spring Weddings

Aside from finding the perfect dress, selecting the right flowers can be one of the most difficult parts of planning your wedding. There are many important factors that must be taken into consideration when designing your floral arrangements, including your wedding colors, theme, and venue style. The right flowers can dress up an understated setting or add beautiful pops of color to softer palettes. Here are some unique flower choices for spring weddings.

Play With Unexpected Colors
While pastels are traditionally popular for spring weddings, it’s important to highlight your individuality as a couple, allowing your personality to shine through the details. A fresh floral trend this year is textured bouquets featuring jewel tones that play off the 2013 Color of the Year, a vibrant Emerald hue.

If you want your flowers to stand apart from a sea of pastels this spring, choose unexpected shades of deep purple and plum. Monochromatic color schemes are also a unique departure from the wildflower bouquet looks of recent years. Vibrant, rich colors feel fresh and exotic. Experiment with lotus pods and scabiosa pods or protea for an opulent, lush bouquet that turns heads.

Use Flowers in Nontraditional Ways
Spring floral arrangements don’t need to be limited to bouquets and centerpieces. This year we’ll be seeing floral accents that stray from the norm. Unique flower embellishments can adorn attire, accessories, or even your dress. Carefully selecting breathtaking flowers and using them in expected places is a great way to use more expensive exotic flowers … Continue Reading ...

Understanding Feature-Function-Benefit Presentation

Feature-function-benefit selling presentations are effective because they work. For the purpose of brevity I will refer to it as “FFB” in this article. A professional sales training program will include this important technique in some form or another. You may see it referred to by a slightly different name, such as feature-need-benefit or another closely worded name but no matter the name, it is the same technique.

Here is a simple way to make FFB an integral part of every sales effort and benefit from it. Let’s start by defining each of the terms.

FEATURE

This is the “what is it” part of FFB. Every product or service has unique features that separate it from the competition. If the feature is common to other products the way it is presented will help separate you from your competitor.

FUNCTION

What does it do? During your presentation this part of FFB gives your customer the opportunity to see how it works. It goes without saying that proficient product knowledge is a must.

BENEFIT

Why should your customer have it? Here is where you solve a problem, fill a need and re-inforce why your product or service is the right one.

Let’s do a simple exercise that puts FFB into action.

Suppose you sell automobiles. In today’s world most of them have anti-lock brakes as either standard or optional equipment. Now, you are showing your customer the vehicle. You can either say:

“This car has anti-lock brakes” or you can use FFB to … Continue Reading ...

Watercolor Lessons – Painting Black and Brown Hair

I love to share what I have discovered on my painting journey. My painting style can best be described as naturalistic realism. Many of my paintings include people in a pensive or thought provoking pose. Part of the feeling of reality is due to the way I use my watercolor. I am able to create paintings where the viewer of the painting can become lost inside the world within the frame.

I am often asked how to paint specific things. One of the most asked questions relates to painting hair. In this article I will share with you how I paint black or brown hair in watercolor.

I believe that the secret to creating paintings that give an impression of ‘reality’ and ‘presence’ is underwashing. I will tell you how I do it – using black hair as an example:

First of all take note of where the highlights are. With black hair the highlights are often blue. With dark brown hair, the highlights can be straw-coloured or yellow/orange.

Now establish and tone these highlight areas with the highlight color you see in the hair of your model or in your reference photograph. Remember to keep these highlights light and ensure you don’t over-paint them. They will give the impression of shiny healthy hair. (You can fine-tune the highlight color at the end of the painting if you need to.)

Remember to let your paper become bone dry before you begin painting the next underwash.

Now you need to establish … Continue Reading ...
