A funeral company for James Claud Tennison, 89, of Jacksonville is scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville. The Rev. Steve Edwards will officiate. James will be laid to relaxation at However Waters Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville. Expert services are below the way of Autry Funeral Household, Jacksonville.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Autry Funeral Property, Jacksonville.
James passed away on June 19, 2021. He was born in New Summerfield, TX on May well 1, 1932. In the 1950s, James started out working for Fields Heath & Heath Hardware. Eventually he owned the keep together with his wife, Pat, for lots of several years. He was a member of the Gideons, Central Baptist Church, and the Goodfellows Sunday College course. James was instrumental in bringing Texas Countrywide Financial institution to Jacksonville and served as a director until finally 2019 at which time he was created an honorary director. James liked obtaining and selling cattle and still owned a hundred head of cattle at the time of his demise. He was a trader and cherished to make a offer. He had a normal knack for organization, but was also recognized for his perception of humor and playful character.
He was preceded in loss of life by his parents, Tom Tennison and Ruth Tennison Smith stepfather, Walter Smith son-in-legislation, Tim Strandberg brothers Bud, Clyde and Babe Tennison a sister, Jessie Womack and brother-in-legislation, Calvin Dotson.
Remaining to cherish James’s memory are his devoted spouse, Patricia “Pat” Heath Tennison of Jacksonville small children, Patrice Minton and spouse Garry, Randy Tennison and spouse Alicia and Shari Strandberg, all of Jacksonville. He is also survived by a sister, Tommie Ruth Dotson of Jacksonville grandchildren Melissa Vining and husband Tony, Ashley Minton, Kristen Swinney and spouse Bret, Michaela Jones and partner Mason, Calvin Tennison, Madilyn Tennison, Amanda Brake and partner Michael, and Julia Strandberg and great-grandchildren Tyler Vining, Connor Vining, Tennison Vining, Kamdyn Swinney, Beckham Swinney, Jarrett Brake and Orion Brake.
Pallbearers will be Mike Beard, Weldon Cook dinner, Philip Garrett, Charles Jasper, Lynn Kelley and Johnny Mack Tennison. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Findley, Fred Frost, Larry Kirkpatrick, George Payne, Billy Powell, Bobby Tarrant and the Very good Fellows Sunday School class.
In lieu of bouquets, memorials might be manufactured to the Gideons or Central Baptist Church.
