STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New York City’s signature summer season weather conditions has been dominated by a haze sent by wildfire smoke from the West Coastline.

Much more than 60 wildfires are at this time burning across western states and parts of Southern California due to file significant temperatures and extreme drought.
