Here is the 2021 The Daily News All-Area baseball team, as decided by the coaches and the newspaper’s sports staff.

Brandon Bannerman, Southwest: The sophomore outfielder hit .479 with 28 runs, 16 RBIs, six doubles and 19 stolen bases to help the Stallions go 12-4 overall, 11-3 in the Coastal 8 1-A/2-A Conference and advance to the second round of the NCHSAA 2-A playoffs. He was also named to the all-conference team. 

Robert Beatty, Swansboro: The senior catcher/third baseman batted .514 with 12 RBIs, 11 runs, two doubles and three triples for the Pirates, who went 5-7 overall and 5-5 in the Coastal 3-A Conference. He was also named all-conference. 

Owen Bellamy, Croatan: The junior pitcher/catcher/infielder hit .457 with  20 RBIs, 15 runs, 10 doubles, one triple and one home run. He also went 2-0 with a 1.91 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 22 innings pitched to help the Cougars go 14-1 overall, 14-0 in the Coastal 8 1-A/2-A Conference and play in the NCHSAA 2-A playoffs. He was also named all-conference. 

Ryan Bellamy, Croatan: The senior left-handed pitcher/first baseman batted .532 with 23 runs, 19 RBIs, six doubles and one home run. He also went 3-1 with a 2.75 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 20 1/3 innings. He was also all-conference.
