3 Ways To Catch Live Television Programs On My PC

There are 3 ways in which I can watch live television programs on my PC and I am going to share it with you how to do it here.

Using PCTV Device

PCTV device is a form of hardware that enables me to watch television programs on my PC through an internet connection. It comes in PCI card and USB version. Personally, I prefer the USB version as it can be used on both PC and laptop plus I do not have to open up my computer. Watching TV on PC with PCTV device involves only a one-time investment. You pay for the hardware and that’s it. It’ll still set you back by more than a hundred bucks at least though.

Free Online Channels

There are online streaming websites that feature live tv and I started out using them to watch television programs on my PC at first. However, being free, the programs get cut off or stop from time to time due to slow loading of video. Also, the selection of channels are limited if they ever show up. I guess all these are caused by a limitation in the bandwidth which gets used up in no time with many people accessing at the same time.

If you are contented with mediocre video quality and occasional stops in between shows with grossly limited channel selection, free online channels will be sufficient for you.

Satellite tv software

I can also watch television programs on my PC using satellite tv software. This is my personal favorite. Why? Firstly, there is no need for hardware. All I need is the software, my computer and an internet connection so I do not have to worry about losing any device. Secondly, I can download and use the software immediately online. Thirdly, I only pay a one-time fee of no more than $50 for the software. Fourthly, I can choose from over 3000 channels worldwide. This is by far the best in terms of value for money.
