You’d love to take better care of your skin, which is starting to show signs of age (perhaps much too soon) but you’re not quite sure how to do it? Let me help you! Read on for a simple, daily routine for aging skin that can give you great results, especially if you use exceptionally good products.
If you want to improve your skin, you must make its care a daily routine. Dabbing on a bit of cream once a week just won’t help; your skin needs to be nourished daily. At best, you’ll have a morning and an evening routine, which you will follow every single day.
In the morning you should cleanse your face first. You may choose to use an anti-aging facial cleanser, a simple face soap or perhaps just water, depending on your skin condition. As there is hardly any dirt on your skin after you wake up (it goes without saying that you will have removed all makeup in the evening and never sleep in your makeup!) it’s up to you how you want to cleanse your skin. If you choose to use a cleansing product, choose a gentle, natural one.
If you already have visible wrinkles around your eyes or are noticing the first fine lines there, my suggestion is that you use an eye serum with powerful anti-wrinkle properties. Our eyes are usually the place which gives our age away, as they are visible to everyone who sees us. Therefore it’s usually worth the extra effort to take care of this sensitive part of your face. Use just a tiny amount of eye serum and gently apply it around the eyes.
After cleansing and possibly using an eye cream, you should use a good anti-wrinkle day cream. Apply it to your face and neck, not too much but still generously. A good day cream should penetrate the skin quickly, letting you start with makeup or finish your routine within a minute.
After a long day your skin is in need of care and nurturing. Don’t forget your evening routine even if you are tired! Your skin will thank you.
You should start with cleansing. If you use makeup, you should wash it off with an anti-aging dace wash. If you don’t wear any makeup and live in a clean environment, washing with just water can be sufficient. Don’t forget to cleanse your neck, too!
If your eyes are looking old and tired, you might want to use an eye serum in the evening, too. Try and see which rhythm suits you best.
If you are over 30 or have dry skin, a night cream is an essential part of your anti-aging skin routine. It will nourish your skin while you sleep, making it smooth and rejuvenated. If you are younger, I’ve found out that you can skip the night cream for a few more years, choosing to sleep without moisturizer.
Every week you should complement your skin routine with a facial mask – a good idea is to use a hydrating mask one week and a cleansing one the next week.
Don’t forget your body either! Get a good anti-aging body lotion and apply it all over your body once a day after showering.
Believe me, you’ll look and feel great if you follow this routine daily and use a high-quality skin care series with it. Please visit my website where I talk more about anti-aging skin care. You’ll find the link below.
